BREAKING: Two Trains On Same Track Collides In South Africa; 100 Injured

About 100 to 150 people have been injured after two trains coming on the same track crashed at the Lynn Ross station in Pretoria’s Rosslyn area in South Africa.

At least twenty people are said to be in serious condition and the rest have received minor to moderate injuries. All the injured have been transported to nearby hospitals.

No death has taken place and no critical injury.

An investigation is in progress but it is not yet known how two trains were on the same track.

Tshwane emergency service spokesperson Johan Pieterse said two coaches collided and around 100 to 150 are injured in the crash.

Care Ambulance Service spokesperson Xander Loubser said about 90 percent of the patients are slightly injured.

Metrorail spokesperson Lillian Mofokeng said trains from nearby Dewildt station have been suspended.

She continued, “Metrorail requests commuters to exercise patience and work with authorities in giving priority to attend to injured commuters.”
